"New York Sour Diesel," also widely known as "NYC Diesel," was developed by Soma Seeds in Amsterdam in 1997. The strain was named as an homage to New York City, the breeder's childhood home, following the events of 9/11. This distinctive strain traces its lineage to a cross between Mexican Sativa and an Afghani landrace.
