Origins and lineage
EmergenC is our house name for a citrus-forward sativa hybrid — the flower we reach for when someone asks for a daytime strain. The nickname on the jar, 'the city's alarm clock', is the staff's description: zesty orange on the nose and a lift that arrives quickly. Its terpene pair, limonene and terpinolene, is the classic signature of bright, energetic sativas.
Aroma, taste and when it fits
Citrus dominates at 5 with a floral lift at 3, a little sweetness and pine, and almost no earth or fuel. The effect profile is the most one-sided in our top ten: cerebral 5, focus 5, sociable 4 — and body 1, couch-lock 0.
That makes it a morning or early-afternoon strain: a temple walk, a market wander, working from a café. It is not what you want before a big dinner or the end of the night.
Why it is a Hightown favourite
EmergenC is the only pure daytime sativa among our ten most purchased strains, and it holds that spot because visitors in Chiang Mai are mostly here to do things during the day. Staff steer newcomers who are sensitive to racy effects toward Tea Time instead. Like every strain we grow, each harvest is scored on our own fifteen-axis profile before it reaches a counter, so the chart on this page describes the flower actually on the shelf, not a catalogue entry.
