More than a shop — part of a neighbourhood we love
Tha Phae Gate is the Old City's front door: the restored brick gate and plaza where the Sunday Walking Street begins, the Songkran water fights peak and every visitor ends up at least once. Hightown Tha Phae is on Chaiyaphum Road, the street that runs north along the outside of the east moat from the gate, so the moat is in view from the door.
It is our most visited branch for first-time visitors: central, open 24 hours, and within walking distance of most Old City guesthouses, the Night Bazaar and the Chang Moi market lanes. If you only have one evening in Chiang Mai, this is the shop you will pass anyway.
